Ann and Allison are so grateful for the warm hospitality of our local shoreline retirement community and for the opportunity to share and raise awareness about the realities faced by incarcerated women in Connecticut.

The Storybook Team came together to share laughter, connection, and heartfelt gratitude as we celebrated Jaunita Durham and Verna Swann for their many years of dedicated service to the women of York as tireless volunteers as well as serving on our ASP board.

June 27, 2025 – Sacred Sweats in motion

On a blustery day, Ann and Allison made their way to York, delivering sweats for women to wear as they step into a new chapter upon release. A simple gesture, but one filled with dignity, warmth, and care.

Because everyone deserves to walk out feeling seen, supported, and wrapped in compassion for the future.

The team gathered with full hearts to say farewell to Barbara Lisien Juliano, (center, 4th from left) our beloved Executive Director for the past 10 years. Barbara’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication have shaped who we are in countless ways. We are so grateful for her legacy and the foundation she has built for the future.
